Security Officer - Main Entrance Control
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Main Entrance Control in Mira Loma, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer supporting access control at a leading food and beverage location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor logs, and assist with directing employees and guests. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with site teams. Bring an agile, reliable, and innovative mindset while delivering through teamwork and acting with integrity.
Requirements
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying identification, and issuing temporary credentials and/or visitor passes as directed.
- Monitor entry and exit points, gates, and/or lobbies to help to deter unauthorized access, tailgating, and prohibited items, and maintain required access logs and documentation.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and/or exterior areas, including production-adjacent spaces, parking areas, and perimeter points as permitted by the post profile and location conditions.
- Support shipping and receiving access by coordinating with dock staff, checking scheduled deliveries and/or pickups, directing vehicle traffic, and reporting irregular activity through the appropriate chain of command.
