As a Front Desk Officer at a busy transportation location, you will welcome drivers and visitors, manage access control and badging, monitor cameras and alarms, and document incidents in real time using a computer and/or tablet. You will be a visible, professional presence who helps reduce security-related issues through clear communication and strong customer service. Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a transportation location.
• Operate the front desk by greeting and directing visitors, verifying identification, issuing badges and/or visitor passes, and maintaining visitor, contractor, and delivery logs.
• Support driver and shipment activity by checking in drivers, confirming appointment and/or dock information per site procedures, and coordinating notifications to onsite contacts.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems from the reception area, report irregular activity, and complete detailed incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting onsite management and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
