About The Position

As a Security Officer - Medical Office Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support patients, visitors, and staff with clear communication, prompt assistance, and strong customer service, while documenting activity using a computer and/or tablet. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and timely notification to clinical staff and/or management as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor and report security-related concerns such as unsecured doors, loitering, disruptive behavior, and unusual conditions, completing accurate written and/or electronic activity reports.
  • Coordinate with local responders, hospital departments, and Allied Universal supervision during alarms, medical emergencies, and other events, following established communication and documentation procedures.
