About The Position

As a Security Officer - Mobile Patrol Driver in Wichita, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an unarmed, driving Patrol Officer at an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete vehicle and foot rounds, and remain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and service requests, document observations, and communicate clearly with teams and site leadership. At Allied Universal, you will bring integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach while delivering reliable, innovative support. A valid driver’s license is required.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, location policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, hangars, production areas, parking lots, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual conditions.
  • Control access at designated entry points by checking identification, verifying authorization for restricted areas, and maintaining visitor and/or contractor logs.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate contacts and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete accurate patrol reports, incident reports, and shift logs, and communicate relevant updates to oncoming personnel and site representatives.
