Job Description As a Security Officer - Mobile Patrol Driver in Tuscaloosa, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents while providing strong customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license, with time spent patrolling grounds, responding to calls for assistance, and reporting observations. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service in a healthcare location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards, maintenance issues, and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting de-escalation efforts and contacting medical staff and/or local emergency services when appropriate.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor and patient wayfinding, and help maintain orderly traffic flow in lobbies, waiting areas, and/or other common spaces.
  • Complete security-related reports such as incident logs, shift activity reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
