About The Position

As a Security Officer - Mobile Patrol Rover in Newark, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access control and respond to alarms and/or reports while using a computer or tablet to document activity. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas, check credentials as required, and assist with visitor management and wayfinding in a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Complete routine reports, incident documentation, and shift activity logs, and communicate relevant information during post handoff and/or via established reporting channels.
