Job Description As a Security Officer Residential Patrol in Johnstown, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming experience for shoppers and staff. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, common areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or potential loss prevention issues, and report observations according to post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
- Assist with crowd and line monitoring during peak business hours, promotions, and/or special events while supporting a professional and welcoming environment for customers and staff.
