About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Specialist in Plainfield, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site teams, and deliver customer service with professionalism and respect. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout warehouse, yard, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions that require reporting.
• Control access for employees, visitors, and drivers by checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining logs, and directing deliveries to designated areas.
• Monitor cameras and alarm panels where assigned, document observations in daily activity reports, and communicate updates using site-approved communication methods.
