Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and respond professionally to concerns. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access to designated areas by monitoring entrances, checking credentials as required, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in points.
  • Complete daily activity reports and incident reports, communicate relevant information to site personnel and/or Allied Universal leadership, and support crowd and traffic flow during events or peak periods.
