As an Allied Universal Officer in an access control post at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, and support badge processing while maintaining detailed logs. You will conduct routine patrols and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, respond to inquiries with strong customer service, and communicate clearly with site teams. Requirements

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, checking credentials, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining required entry and exit logs at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor gates, turnstiles, and other controlled entry points, verify authorizations for employees, contractors, and deliveries, and help to deter unauthorized access by enforcing posted site rules.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating site emergency response notifications and documenting actions taken per policy.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including building exteriors, processing-adjacent areas, and perimeter routes, watching for conditions that may require security-related attention and reporting concerns per procedure.
  • Coordinate with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership regarding access approvals, temporary badge requests, and restricted area controls, and complete clear, timely reports and shift pass-downs.
