As an Access Control Officer at a residential location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials and/or badges, and greet residents and guests with professional customer service. You will monitor activity, conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, and document security-related observations while communicating clearly with the team and site contacts. Requirements

• Have at least 6+ months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Guard card and/or license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors while carrying out Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and assigned security-related procedures.
• Control access at designated entry points by checking identification, verifying resident and visitor authorization, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and maintaining visitor and delivery logs.
• Monitor cameras, intercoms, alarms, and other access control systems to help to deter unauthorized entry, and report irregular activity per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with emergency response activities and contacting management and/or public services as required.
• Complete shift reports and incident documentation, communicate pertinent information during shift handoff, and coordinate with property staff regarding access-related concerns.
