Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while maintaining an armed presence in accordance with post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior spaces, exterior areas, entry points, and perimeter boundaries to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor access to the location and verify authorized entry for visitors, staff, and/or vendors while documenting security-related concerns and reporting unusual activity.
  • Support the protection of people, property, and/or cultural assets by observing surroundings, communicating clearly with site contacts, and following Allied Universal protocols.
