As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with staff and visitors, document observations, and support site operations with professional customer service. Requirements

  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site representatives and/or public responders as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, yards, parking areas, and perimeter lines to help to deter unauthorized activity, noting unusual conditions and/or hazards to property and equipment.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, managing visitor check-in and/or badge issuance per site policy, and maintaining logs as required.
  • Complete timely written and/or electronic reports, document patrol findings and incidents, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership.
