About The Position

As a Security Officer - Alarm Panel Driver in LINCOLN, NE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will complete routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and access control activity as needed. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with strong customer service and clear communication while documenting observations and reporting concerns. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and timely notification to site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas such as entrances, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity, identify irregular conditions, and report concerns.
• Control access by observing traffic at key entry points, assisting with visitor direction, and documenting security-related events, alarms, and policy violations using required reporting systems.
• Support a professional environment by monitoring for prohibited items or behaviors per site policy, assisting with lost and found or property checks as directed, and coordinating with clinical teams during disruptive situations.
