As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a residential healthcare location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, stay highly visible, and help identify and report security-related concerns. You will support staff, residents, and visitors with clear communication and customer service, respond to alarms and access issues as needed, and document incidents. Requirements

  • 1+ Years' Law Enforcement Experience OR 2+ Years' Security Supervisor/Manager Experience OR 3+ Years' Security Experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, staff, visitors and/or vendors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of residential buildings, common areas, entrances, parking areas and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points, assist with visitor check-in processes, and/or verify authorization for entry while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calling for medical assistance, notifying site leadership and/or contacting law enforcement or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Document observations, incidents and/or unusual conditions in daily activity reports and incident reports, and communicate significant updates to supervisors and/or incoming officers.
