Join Allied Universal as a Screener supporting cruise operations, where you will help manage entry screening, verify credentials, and use screening equipment to identify prohibited items. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Have customer service experience is preferred.
  • Have X-Ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, crew members, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a cruise operations location.
  • Screen guests, crew, baggage, and parcels using approved screening methods and equipment, verifying required identification, boarding documentation, and access authorization.
  • Control access at entry points by managing queues, directing foot traffic, checking credentials, and issuing and/or collecting visitor passes per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting information through the appropriate chain of command.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas such as terminal spaces, loading zones, and perimeter locations, watching for conditions that may help to deter unauthorized access and/or policy violations.
