As a Screener with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will greet staff, patients, and visitors, support entry screening and access control, and monitor and patrol assigned areas. You will remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, respond to questions or concerns with calm communication, and document activity as needed. Requirements

  • Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Support entry screening operations by greeting entrants, confirming authorization to enter, issuing visitor passes as directed, and communicating access requirements to help to reduce unauthorized entry.
  • Monitor entrances, lobbies, and screening areas for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or disturbances, and report concerns through the established chain of command.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and coordination with clinical staff and/or local responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
