As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will greet drivers and visitors, verify credentials, screen incoming traffic and deliveries, and help maintain orderly access points. You will stay highly visible, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with operations teams to help reduce incidents and support smooth flow throughout the facility. Requirements

  • Have 1 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, and drivers entering the facility by verifying identification, checking authorization, and confirming appointment and/or delivery information in accordance with site procedures.
  • Monitor entry points and nearby work areas for unusual activity, help to deter unauthorized access, and communicate concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting access control issues, disputes, and medical and/or facility emergencies as directed.
  • Complete required logs and reports, document screening results and incident details, and communicate shift updates during pass-downs to support consistent operations.
