As a Screener with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech location, you will help maintain smooth entry by conducting screening at checkpoints, monitoring visitor flow, verifying credentials, and communicating clearly with employees and guests. You will stay visible, perform routine patrols of nearby areas, document security-related activity, and escalate concerns through established procedures. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to client staff and visitors by following site-specific, security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct entry and exit screening by verifying credentials, checking identification and/or badges, and directing visitors through approved check-in processes.
  • Monitor assigned screening areas for prohibited items and suspicious activity, report concerns per post orders, and help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting actions, and coordinating with onsite contacts and/or responding agencies as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including interior and exterior perimeters and common spaces, while completing required logs and reports.
