As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor entry points, screen visitors and vehicles, verify credentials, and support access control with clear, professional communication. You will complete routine rounds and use security-related tools and reporting to help identify and escalate concerns. Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, contractors, and visitors for authorized entry by verifying identification, checking credentials, and directing individuals through screening procedures and controlled access points.
• Observe screening lanes, entry points, and nearby work areas for unusual activity, prohibited items, and/or policy violations, and report findings in a timely manner.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, docks, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or property loss; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
