Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Hospital-required vaccines are required.
  • Ability and willingness to work in a hospital environment that may include a morgue is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to restrain individuals in a hospital environment is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and assistance, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support staff during security-related events such as patient interactions, visitor concerns, and after-hours access requests while maintaining professionalism and clear communication.
