Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
Hospital-required vaccines are required.
Ability and willingness to work in a hospital environment that may include a morgue is required.
Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
Ability to restrain individuals in a hospital environment is required.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions according to site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and assistance, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
Support staff during security-related events such as patient interactions, visitor concerns, and after-hours access requests while maintaining professionalism and clear communication.
