About The Position

As a Security Officer - Patrol Concierge in Fredericksburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with staff, patients, and visitors, document observations, and respond to security-related calls with professionalism and care. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare campus, including lobbies, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and coordinating with clinical staff and/or local responders as needed.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and documenting arrivals and departures per site procedures.
• Complete detailed reports on incidents, patrol observations, and policy violations, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
