As an unarmed patrol officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will complete routine foot and vehicle patrols, monitor assigned areas, and document security-related activity to help reduce incidents. This is a driving post, so you will use a company vehicle as needed while maintaining a visible presence and strong customer service. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a chemical or petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or process-area access concerns through established communication channels.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, tank farms, loading areas, and perimeter lines to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or other unwanted activity.
  • Control access at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification and authorization, directing traffic flow, and documenting entries, exits, and deliveries according to site procedures.
  • Complete routine documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports, and communicate noteworthy conditions to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
