Job Description As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver in Irving, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an unarmed patrol Security Officer at a cultural institution, you will monitor galleries and public spaces, conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. You will support staff and guests with clear communication and customer service, while living Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity in every interaction.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors at a cultural institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of galleries, exhibit spaces, offices, loading areas, and exterior perimeters to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or operational concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, assist with access control for restricted areas, and help manage visitor flow during peak hours and/or special events.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical calls, and fire or alarm activations, and coordinate with site leadership and local responders as needed.
  • Complete routine documentation such as daily activity logs and incident reports, and communicate notable observations to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
