As a driving patrol officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor traffic. You will document activity, communicate clearly with site teams, and provide helpful customer service. Requirements

  • A minimum of 1+ years of security experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial processing location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with notifications, documentation, and coordination with site contacts and/or public responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production and storage areas, parking areas, and perimeter fencing; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity as assigned, including observing entry and exit activity, checking authorization where required, and directing visitors and drivers to appropriate check-in areas.
  • Complete security-related reports such as daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoffs, and communicate notable conditions to site management and/or Allied Universal supervision.
