You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and document observations. You will also assist staff and visitors with directions, access control, and clear communication, bringing a caring, people-first approach while acting with integrity, teamwork, and an innovative mindset.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of security experience.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, entrances, corridors, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points by verifying identification, directing visitors to approved destinations, and reporting unauthorized entry attempts per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Complete timely security-related reports and logs, document incidents, and communicate key information to Allied Universal management and/or site leadership.
