Job Description As a Security Officer Patrol Rounds in Bartow, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will control access points, document observations, respond to requests, and communicate clearly with site personnel and visitors. Requirements
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial chemical processing location.
- Control access at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor passes, and directing deliveries to designated areas per site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and perimeter lines, noting unusual conditions and helping to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or other security-related systems when assigned, investigate alerts, and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, complete reports, and document patrols, access activity, and incident details per post requirements.
