Job Description As a Security Officer - X-Ray Screening in North Andover, MA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech and telecom location, you will help monitor entry points, conduct screening and inspections, and complete security-related checks that support smooth daily operations. You will remain visible, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and document activity using site systems. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• X‐Ray Screening Experience is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Conduct entry screening for employees, visitors, and/or vendors using approved methods such as credential verification, package and bag inspections, and magnetometer and/or handheld wand screening when assigned.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and reporting concerns through the designated chain of communication.
• Monitor access points and screening areas to help to deter unauthorized entry, prohibited items, and/or policy violations, and coordinate with site contacts when escalation is needed.
• Maintain accurate screening logs and incident reports, and assist with directing traffic flow at checkpoints, queues, and/or lobby areas to support orderly operations.
