About The Position

As a Security Officer - Property Patrol in Advance, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support staff and visitors with strong customer service and communication. You will document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and partner with local stakeholders using teamwork and integrity, backed by a caring culture and an agile, reliable, innovative approach.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and contractors at a government location by following site-specific procedures, access requirements, and post orders.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and other systems as assigned; document and report irregular conditions, maintenance issues, and policy concerns per site guidelines.
• Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify supervisors and/or public emergency services when appropriate.
• Complete routine logs, incident reports, and shift reports with clear, accurate details; communicate updates during shift handoff and/or as conditions change.
