Job Description As a Security Officer - Rapid Response Patrol in Ashburn, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a government education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will support staff, students, and visitors with professional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, students, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a government educational location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to site leadership and/or public responders per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of hallways, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor flow as assigned, verifying identification, following sign-in requirements, and/or directing individuals to appropriate locations.
• Document security-related activities, observations, incidents, and/or maintenance concerns in written reports, logs, and/or required electronic systems.
