As a Front Desk Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will welcome employees and visitors, manage check-in and badge procedures, and support access control using a computer and/or tablet. You will monitor activity from a stationary post, document security-related events, and communicate clearly with site teams to help to deter issues before they escalate. Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have customer service experience, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, drivers, vendors, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, badging requirements, and other security-related post instructions at the front desk.
  • Monitor lobby and entrance activity from a stationary post and use approved systems to document visitor check-in and/or check-out, deliveries, and key control as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services per post orders.
  • Operate phones, radios, and other communication tools to relay information, support dispatch needs, and help maintain orderly entry to the location.
  • Complete detailed written and/or electronic reports for routine activity, incidents, and unusual conditions, and support investigations by preserving relevant information and observations.
