Job Description As a Security Officer - Reception Desk in Columbia, MO , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced food and beverage location as a Front Desk Security Professional, greeting employees and visitors, managing sign-in procedures, and supporting access and badge control. You will monitor cameras and alarms, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with site teams to help maintain smooth operations. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, vendors, and employees by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage location.
  • Staff the front desk by greeting and directing guests, answering phones and/or intercoms, and maintaining a professional presence while monitoring the lobby and entry areas.
  • Help manage access control by verifying identification, processing sign-in and sign-out logs, issuing temporary badges, and coordinating visitor access with onsite contacts.
  • Monitor alarms, CCTV, and other front desk systems, documenting observations and reporting irregular activity per site-specific protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, completing required reports and communicating with Allied Universal leadership and/or onsite management as needed.
