As a Front Desk Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will welcome employees, visitors, and drivers, manage check-in and badge access, monitor entry points and camera feeds, and document security-related activity using computer or tablet tools. You will be a reliable point of contact, helping to reduce unwanted activity through clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have customer service experience, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Operate the front desk by managing access control, verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining sign-in and/or sign-out logs, and directing traffic to the appropriate areas.
  • Monitor CCTV, access control systems, alarms, and radios from a stationary post; report irregular activity and help to deter unauthorized entry or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including dispatching notifications, coordinating with on-site leadership, and contacting local authorities when directed.
  • Complete shift reports and incident documentation, maintain post orders and logs, and communicate clearly during shift transitions to support consistent security-related operations at a logistics and distribution location.
