As an unarmed, driving patrol officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine vehicle patrols, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and communicate clearly with store teams and visitors while delivering a caring, people-first experience through teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors and associates by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail setting.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, and fire or alarm activations.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, parking areas, cart corrals, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
Monitor access points and observe customer and associate activity for unusual behavior, then report concerns to onsite leadership and/or law enforcement as directed by post orders.
Complete detailed written and/or electronic reports, including shift activity logs, incident reports, and follow-up documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and location requirements.
