As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail and/or mall location, you will complete routine foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support shoppers and team members with friendly, professional service. You will observe activity, document concerns, communicate with site leadership, and contribute to a caring culture that puts people first. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities in a retail location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and coordination with store leadership and/or local emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of sales floors, entrances, loading areas, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and security-related concerns.
  • Monitor and control access points as assigned, observe customer and associate activity for policy violations, and assist with loss prevention awareness by promptly reporting suspicious behavior.
  • Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate significant updates to Allied Universal leadership and the client point of contact.
