As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support smooth operations by conducting security-related screening of people and packages, including x-ray screening when available, while maintaining a visible presence. You will communicate clearly, document observations, and assist with routine patrols in assigned areas. Requirements

  • Have 6+ months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, and/or contractors at entry points by verifying identification, checking authorization, and following screening protocols for prohibited items.
  • Control access for pedestrian and vehicle traffic, including directing drivers to designated areas and reporting unusual activity to site leadership per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and escalating concerns through the appropriate channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, docks, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations.
