About The Position

As a Security Officer - Security Screening Lead in Concord, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and screen people and items entering controlled spaces to help support smooth operations. You will remain highly visible, document security-related activity, and provide professional customer service while communicating clearly with team members and site contacts. Requirements

• Supervisory experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by following site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a logistics and distribution location, including directing traffic flow at entry points as needed.
• Perform screening duties at designated access points, including verifying identification, checking credentials, and conducting bag, package, and/or magnetometer screening in accordance with post orders.
• Monitor and control access through gates, turnstiles, and/or screening lanes, documenting entries, denials, and unusual activity per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities and promptly notifying appropriate site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas such as entrances, staging areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
