As a Security Officer - Security Screening in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a government court location, where you will help support orderly access through entry screening, visitor guidance, and clear communication. You will remain visible at screening points, conduct routine security-related checks, and help identify prohibited items using tools such as X-ray screening when assigned. Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid is preferred.
  • X‐Ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government court location by following site-specific access control and security-related screening procedures.
  • Operate and monitor screening equipment and conduct entry screening in accordance with posted policies, assisting with the identification and handling of prohibited items and/or restricted property.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Maintain orderly flow at public entrances, verify identification and/or credentials, manage visitor logs, and provide clear directions to courtrooms and offices.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols and security-related observations around entrances, public areas, and the exterior perimeter, documenting unusual activity and submitting required reports.
