About The Position

As a Security Officer - Site Patrol Driver in Greenville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy retail location as an unarmed patrol officer in a driving post. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming customer experience through clear communication. Your day may include mobile rounds, reporting observations, and coordinating with site leaders and local partners, all while living our agile, reliable, and innovative values with integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns per site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including the perimeter, loading docks, parking areas, and common access points to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points, verify identification and/or credentials as required, and assist with visitor, contractor, and delivery driver check-in procedures.
Observe and report hazards, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations, and assist site leadership and/or emergency responders as needed.
