About The Position

As a Security Officer - Site Patrol Rover in Lower Manhattan, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a premier commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control while assisting tenants, guests, and staff. You will document observations, communicate clearly, and respond to concerns with a customer-first mindset. Requirements

  • Have a New York State Security Guard License.
  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of building interiors, common areas, loading docks, garages, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and pedestrian and vehicle traffic; verify credentials and/or visitor authorization in accordance with post orders and property procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, contacting emergency services when needed, and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports; communicate security-related observations to Allied Universal leadership and property management as required.
