Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting a fast-paced Tech, Media, and/or Telecom location. You will conduct routine foot patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, support access control and badge checks, and respond to alarms and calls for service with clear communication and professionalism. You will document observations and work as a reliable, agile teammate who treats people with care and acts with integrity.

Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and/or visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and notifying site contacts as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office, studio, and/or data and telecom areas, including interior and exterior perimeter checks, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor flow, checking identification and/or credentials, directing guests, and reporting suspicious or unusual activity per site policy.
• Complete required reports such as shift activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
