As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy maritime facility, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will document observations, respond to reports, support access control as needed, and deliver strong customer service and communication to visitors and staff. Requirements

  • Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors and/or visitors by following established security-related procedures, site-specific policies and post orders, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Control access at gates, entrances and/or checkpoints by verifying identification and credentials, directing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, and maintaining visitor, vendor and delivery logs.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, docks, yards, parking areas and perimeter lines to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying the appropriate contacts, providing clear directions to others on site and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision, and assist with security-related screenings and inspections as directed.
