As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will complete visible patrols and vehicle rounds, respond to calls for assistance, and help address security-related concerns with calm, professional communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under Allied Universal driver policy requirements. You will support patients, visitors, and staff while documenting activity and working as a reliable teammate who acts with integrity in every interaction.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A Guard Card/License is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific policies and Allied Universal procedures and/or supporting emergency response activities as directed.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from clinical staff and/or local responders when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor direction and wayfinding, and help manage line flow and/or waiting area conditions per location guidelines.
- Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and shift documentation, and communicate notable conditions to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
