About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Driver Patrols in Fort Wayne, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic worksite, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will deliver strong customer service and clear communication while reporting observations and supporting site procedures. This is a driving post and requires a valid driver’s license in line with AU Driver Policy requirements.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the construction location, including entry points, material laydown areas, trailers, and perimeter fencing, documenting unusual conditions and helping to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Control access by verifying credentials, directing visitors and deliveries to the proper check-in area, and maintaining visitor and/or vehicle logs per site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Complete detailed written reports of patrols, incidents, and hazards observed, and communicate status updates to the Allied Universal supervisor and/or site contacts.
