Job Description As a Security Officer - Patrol Services in Plainfield, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visibly present to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access awareness, report and document observations, and deliver strong customer service through clear communication with employees, visitors, and teams on site. Requirements

  • Client requires proof of HS Diploma/GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal site-specific policies, access control procedures, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and escalating to site contacts and/or public responders when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of utility facilities, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter zones, watching for unusual activity and/or hazardous conditions and reporting findings per post orders.
  • Perform routine security-related inspections of gates, doors, fences, lighting, and other key infrastructure, helping to deter unauthorized access and/or tampering by reporting concerns promptly.
  • Complete security-related reports, shift logs, and incident documentation with accurate details, and communicate updates during shift turnovers and/or as requested by site leadership.
