As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will greet shoppers and tenants, respond to concerns, and communicate clearly with site leadership and local responders as needed. Requirements

• A guard card and/or security-related license is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, retail location-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including addressing disturbances, assisting with lost and found situations and coordinating with property management as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or operational concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits and high-traffic areas, watching for suspicious behavior, potential shoplifting activity and/or policy violations, and report concerns per site procedures.
• Complete routine reports, incident documentation and shift logs, and communicate observations to Allied Universal management and/or the client representative.
