As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and contribute to a caring culture that puts people first while acting with integrity through teamwork, reliability, agility, and innovation.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be able to lift up to 20 lbs, preferred.
  • Have a guard card and/or license, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and visitor traffic as assigned, assist with directions and de-escalation, and support staff with security-related concerns within scope of post orders.
  • Complete required reports and logs, document incidents accurately, and communicate observations and/or hazards to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
