About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol in Rochester, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an aero and defense location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor badging. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts, and provide strong customer service while using a computer or tablet as needed. Requirements

  • Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and access control requirements at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry points and restricted areas by checking identification and/or badges, processing visitors and deliveries per site policy, and documenting entries in required logs.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or public responders as directed.
  • Complete detailed reports on patrol findings, incidents, and policy violations, and support investigations by preserving observations and submitting timely documentation.
