About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Sentinel in Upland, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support access control and badge checks. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts and your team, and provide a professional, customer-service mindset during daily interactions. Requirements

  • Have 2+ years' law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions and outcomes per site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, public areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, reporting irregularities and potential policy violations.
  • Control access to restricted areas by verifying identification and/or authorization, directing visitors appropriately, and assisting with line management during high-traffic periods.
  • Complete detailed reports, shift logs, and incident documentation, and communicate promptly with site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
